Amidst jubilation over Gov. Seyi Mankinde’s recovery from the Covid-19, Caretaker Chairman Akorede Local Council Development Area ( LCDA ) Hon. Wahab Kazeem LASKAZ has distributed food items and other relief materials to residents of the locality.
Hon. Kazeem expressed joy and gratitude to God for his mercy, on governor Seyi Makinde who he said fought and became victorious over the coronaviru.
The Council Boss who said the Governor’s victory over the deadly virus signified that Oyo State and the entire Akorode are free from the any diseases, however reminded the residents the need for strict adherence to the hygienic directives as stipulated by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC and World Health Organisation, WHO.
Hon. Kazeem urged the people of Akorede to continue to be law abiding by obeying the sit at home and 7pm to 6am curfew order by Oyo State government to curb the spreading of covid-19.
He solicited the continued support of the people for Gov Seyi Makinde’s laudable developmental programme and that of his LCDA, so as not to jeopardize efforts of the government.
In their responses, Mr Lamidi Ayinde and Yusuf Bolatito who spoke on behalf of Akorede residents, appreciated the gesture of the Chairman, pledged their supports for him at all times.
