Ido LG Boss, Adeojo Presents Motorcycle to CDC, Equips Omi-Apata Market With Solar Lights
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has presented a brand-new motorcycle to the Community Development Council (CDC) in the local government to enhance community engagement, grassroots mobilisation and development.
Presenting the motorcycle at the local government secretariat on Thursday, September 17, 2026, Adeojo said the gesture was part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening community structures and improving communication between the government and residents at the grassroots.
He noted that the CDC plays an important role in community development, conflict resolution and the dissemination of government policies, stressing the need to provide the council with the necessary logistics to discharge its responsibilities effectively.
“The CDC is the bridge between government and the people. This motorcycle will ease their movement across the 10 wards of Ido Local Government and help in mobilising our people for development programmes,” the chairman stated.
Receiving the motorcycle on behalf of the CDC, its chairman, Engr. Tunde Salaudeen, expressed appreciation to Adeojo for his support for community development associations in the local government.
Salaudeen described the chairman as a listening and responsive leader who has prioritised the welfare of the people, assuring that the motorcycle would be judiciously used for the purpose for which it was provided.
He also pledged the continued support and cooperation of all Community Development Associations (CDAs) in Ido Local Government for the administration.
In a related development, the chairman also extended support to traders and users of Omi-Apata Market by providing 10 solar-powered lights to improve visibility and activities within the market.
The solar lights were presented on behalf of the chairman by the Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi.
The gesture is expected to provide improved lighting for traders and other users of the market, particularly during periods of low visibility.
Those present at the presentation included the Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi; the Chief of Staff; the Deputy Leader; the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Aminu Sarafadeen; directors; members of the CDC and other political functionaries.
