APC Primary: Fatai Buhari Takes Early Lead in Oke-Ogun, Ogbomoso, Secures Votes in Ibadan


An early trend of results from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Oyo State has placed Senator Fatai Buhari ahead of other contenders in several zones across the state.
Reports emerging from the ongoing primary election on Thursday indicated that the senator recorded significant votes in parts of the Oke-Ogun and Ogbomoso zones, where he is said to be maintaining an early lead over fellow aspirants contesting for the party’s governorship ticket.

Sources monitoring the exercise also disclosed that Senator Buhari secured a considerable number of votes in the Ibadan zone, further strengthening his early standing in the race.
Although the collation process was still ongoing at the time of filing this report, party observers noted that the exercise had so far witnessed active participation of delegates across the various zones.
According to observers, the pattern of votes so far has positioned the APC Fatai Buhari as a strong contender for eventual victory in the keenly contested primary election
The APC primary is expected to determine the party’s flagbearer for the forthcoming Oyo State governorship election, with party faithful awaiting the official announcement of results by the electoral committee.
