Oyo Lawmaker Provides Stimulus For Irepo, Olorunsogo Residents
As Oyo residents continues with Governor Makinde “Stay At Home ” directive, with a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus, an Oyo State House of Assembly member, representing Irepo/Olorunsogo state constituency Hon. Qozeem Olayanju has assisted his constituents with food package to cushion the effect of the stay at home order and hard economic situation brought by the coronavirus pandemic
The relief package from Hon. Olayanju came days after sensitization and distribution of hand sanitizers in light of the outbreak and spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Olayanji, Chairman House Committee on Information Media and Public Affairs said, the food package distributed was aimed at supporting the COVID-19 palliative measures in the state.
” The little we had provided for our people was aimed at complementing the efforts of the federal and state governments to assist the people as the battle against coronavirus continues “.
A beneficiary, Baba Adegoke in his thank you message to Hon. Olayanju, he said, the uniqueness in the lawmaker shows in him every time. ” we had thanked him and will always thank you, he has never let us down for once since we elected him as our state honorable, even during his own trial period at election tribunal, he still did the needful anytime we call on him”.
In her own reaction, Alhaja Sariyu described Olayanju as a promise keeper, she said, Igbeti born lawmaker had done excellently well by coming home to assist his people with food package during a general challenge. ” Kazeem has being keeping to his promises, he said he will not go to Ibadan to stay if elected, now he comes often to check and provide for us, more grease to his elbow” Alhaja Sariyu Added.
After the distribution, the lawmaker urged residents of his two local government areas to keep social distances and wash their hands with running water, as they adhere to the guidelines put in place by the government toward controlling the spread of the virus.
