Adeojo Felicitates Muslims on Eid-el-Kabir, Urges Compassion, Prayers for Abducted Victims
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State, Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across the local government and Oyo State on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a Sallah message made available to journalists, Adeojo congratulated Muslim families, community leaders, political stakeholders and faithful for witnessing another season of spiritual reflection and celebration.
The council chairman urged Muslims to go beyond the festivities by embracing the core values of Eid-el-Kabir, including compassion, gratitude, self-discipline, charity and communal unity.
He also appealed to Muslim faithful to use the festive period to offer prayers for the safe return of victims abducted in Orire, stressing the need for divine intervention and collective support during the difficult period.
Adeojo encouraged residents of the local government to extend acts of kindness and support to vulnerable members of society through zakat, charity and communal service, noting that such gestures would further strengthen social harmony and reflect the true essence of the celebration.
According to him, community development and peaceful coexistence can only thrive where people continue to support one another irrespective of social or religious differences.
The council boss further called on religious leaders and community stakeholders to sustain efforts at promoting peace, tolerance and civic responsibility across the local government area.
Praying for continued peace and prosperity in the state and the country at large, Adeojo expressed hope that Nigerians would witness many more Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in good health and happiness.
“I pray that we witness many more Sallah celebrations in good health and peace on the land of the living,” he said.
He also wished Muslims and residents of the state a peaceful, joyful and spiritually rewarding Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
