Why We Supported Auxiliary As Chairman Park Manager- Ibadan Authentic Mogajis
The Ibadan Mogajis, otherwise known as Authentic Mogajis on Sunday explained that the group endorsed the newly appointed Chairman of park managers in Oyo state, Mukaila Lamidi because he is the only stabilising factor for the union in the state.
The group in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Mogaji Wale Oladoja said it is no more news that Mukaila challenged oppressors of the masses and by extension NURTW before he was punished by the past administration.
The statement stressed further that the most important thing and concern of the Ibadan Mogajis is the peace, unity and progress of the ancient city, adding that; “If Auxiliary is a unifying factor, why must we not support him?”
Mogajis however agreed that everybody has their past record which auxiliary is not exempted, but he has been rehabilitated and refined to a credible, acceptable and reliable leader.
According to the statement, Mukaila Lamidi remains the most experienced among the people vying for the position in the state, and he had proved that since he assumed office as the chairman of the commercial driver union in the state.
The group further reiterated its support for governor Seyi Makinde in as much as the government continues to run a government with human face.
The statement reads;”We endorsed Auxiliary because we discovered that he has qualities to stabilize the NURTW in the state. We know the role he played before the government was installed.
“The most important thing to the Mogajis in Ibadan land is security and protection of lives and properties in Ibadan land. Auxiliary has been rehabilitated and he has proved that in many ways. We are in support of him and the government of the state,” he said.
Mogajis therefore urged people who are not in support of the policies and programmes of the current administration in the state and serving in any capacity to resign without hesitation.
