We’re Proud Of You, Ibadan Elite Youth, Celebrates Adeduntan On Retirement As First Bank CEO

 

Ibadan Youth Elite, a forum that consists of youth who are Indigenes of Ibadan land, has sent a congratulatory message to an Ibadan-born Nigerian business executive, Dr. Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan, who recently retired as the Managing Director of First Bank Nigeria Limited.

Adeduntan, who was appointed CEO of the bank on January 1, 2016, served as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of FirstBank on January 1st, 2016, with a record time of nine years while commencing his pre-retirement leave earlier in April this year.

After a sent-forth ceremony organized by the management and board of directors of First Bank Plc to honor Dr. Adesola Adeduntan on Sunday, November 3rd, the Ibadan Youth Elite said Adeduntan contributed significantly towards the transformation of the financial institution and made it attractive to every stratum of the society. The group added that Adeduntan changed people’s perspective on FirstBank, an institution that used to be perceived as an old-generation bank.

In its congratulatory statement, signed by the group president, Mr. Adetoyese Akeem Ishola, and issued to the press in Ibadan on Monday morning, the Ibadan youth elite urged Dr. Adetundan to consider using his wealth of experience in the private sector for the development of Ibadan and Oyo state in general.

” Ibadan Youth Elite, on behalf of all Ibadan youth indigenes, felicitates with one of our brothers in Ibadan, role model, Dr. Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan, on his retirement as Managing Director of First Bank Nigeria Limited.

” It is noteworthy that, during Adedutan’s tenure as First Bank CEO, the bank and its subsidiaries have undergone significant changes and broken new grounds. His three terms as CEO repositioned the institution as an enviable financial giant in Africa.

” As we celebrate his outstanding end in financial institution, having begun his career with Afribank PLC, we implore Dr. Adedutan as he retires not to be tired of making use of his wide experience in contributing to the development of Ibadan and Oyo state at large” Ibadan youth Elite said.

While commending Adedutan’s vision and commitment to excellent service, the Ibadan Youth elite expressed appreciation for his willingness to serve as well as his contribution to Nigeria Economic Group and other financial institutions.
