The Chairman of Ibadan Northeast Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Sen. Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his 82nd birthday and first anniversary on the throne.
Akintayo, in a congratulatory message on Friday, joined the Olubadan-in-Council, Ibadan Mogajis and Ibadan indigenes at home and abroad in celebrating the monarch on the twin milestones.
He described Oba Ladoja as a role model whose contributions to the development of Ibadanland and Oyo State predated his ascension to the throne.
According to him, the monarch has remained an inspiration to many through his public service, leadership and commitment to the well-being of the people.
Akintayo said Oba Ladoja, who served as governor of Oyo State before ascending the traditional throne, had continued to demonstrate fatherly leadership as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
He noted that the monarch had used his position to promote peace, unity and development across Ibadanland, adding that his leadership had continued to command respect among indigenes and residents.
The council chairman prayed for good health, wisdom and many more years for Oba Ladoja, while wishing the monarch a successful reign and continued service to Ibadanland.
