Mogaji Olamide Akinajo has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on the occasion of his first anniversary on the throne and 82nd birthday.
Akinajo, who joined the Olubadan-in-Council, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Ibadan Mogajis and other residents of Ibadanland to celebrate the monarch, described Oba Ladoja’s one-year reign as a period of resilience, stability and renewed attention to the preservation of Ibadan’s traditional institution.
In a congratulatory message, Akinajo, the Mogaji of E8/102, Akinajo’s Compound, Oje-Itutaba, Ibadan, commended the Olubadan for his efforts towards strengthening the Ibadan traditional council and promoting the development and unity of Ibadanland.
He said the ancient city had witnessed significant developments in the area of traditional administration and cultural heritage since the monarch ascended the throne.
According to him, Oba Ladoja’s leadership has further demonstrated the importance of preserving Ibadan’s rich traditional heritage while ensuring that the institution remains relevant to the aspirations of the people.
Akinajo said, “I join the Olubadan-in-Council, CCII, Ibadan Mogajis and the entire people of Ibadanland in celebrating Kabiyesi, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his first anniversary on the throne and his 82nd birthday.
“Within the last one year, Ibadanland has witnessed tremendous progress, particularly in the area of tradition and the strengthening of our traditional institution.
“We commend Kabiyesi for his resilience, wisdom and commitment to upholding the Ibadan traditional council and contributing to the continued development of Ibadanland.”
Akinajo, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Posmaki Energy Limited and Okmib Farms Limited, prayed for long life, sound health and continued wisdom for the monarch as he leads the people of Ibadanland.
He expressed optimism that Oba Ladoja’s reign would continue to contribute positively to the unity, cultural preservation and overall development of Ibadanland.
