Oyo Deputy Gov, Gbolarunmi, Adelabu, Adebutu, Olafeso, Mulikat, Others At Olopoeyan’s Daughter’s Wedding
It was a gathering of top politicians in Oyo state and Southwest Nigeria as the daughter of Oyo state People’s Democratic Party (PDP ) chieftain, Alhaji Muhammed Adeyemi Adebisi Olopoeyan, Latifat Busayo got married to her lover, Aliu Oladayo in Ibadan.
The wedding ceremony which took place on Saturday started with an engagement programme which was immediately followed by a reception party for guests at University Of Ibadan Conference Center, Ajibode.
Present at the ceremony include Oyo state Deputy governor, Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan, former Oyo Deputy Governor, Bar Hazeem Gbolarumi, former house of rep and majority leader, Hon. Mulikat Akande-Adeola, All Progressive Congress 2023 governorship aspirant, Chief Adebayo Adelabu. Oyo People’s Democratic Party 2023 governorship aspirant, Engr. Popoola Olukayode Joshua,Hon. Yemi Aderibigbe SSA to govenor Seyi Makinde on Local government and chieftaincy matters, Engr. Remi Oseni, former Oyo assembly lawmakers, Elder Mathew Abioye and Hon. Michael Okunlade also Oyo PDP youth leader, Asiwaju Adekola Adeoye, Chief Hon. Taofeek Aolalubarika and Wasiu Emiola, Mogaji Wasiu Ajimobi ( Mogaji Ile Ajimobi ), Chief Shina Alabi, Hon. Fagunwa, Hon. Murphy.
Others are, Ogun state 2023 PDP governorship aspirant, Chief Lisa Aje of Egbaland, His excellency Hon. Ladi Adebutu, immediate past Southwest zonal chairman and secretary , Dr. Eddy Olafeso , Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, PDP state chairman Ogun state, Dr. Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele, Hon. Akiitan, and more notable politicians from South western states.
An Hakkidul-Nikkah had earlier been conducted on Thursday 16th, with a special prayer by Chief Imam, Yunus Igbooloyin offered for the couple.
Imam Yunus stressed the significance of marriage in Islam and called on the bride to be submissive and loyal to her husband.
The bride father, Alhaji Bisi Olopoeyan was unable to hide his joy at the party, he was full of praises to God that all went well on the day. He thank all dignitaries , family and friends that attended his daughter’s wedding.
Olopoeyan charged the new couples to preserve the sanctity of the marriage institution by loving each other as Prophet Muhammed preaches. He further admonished them to pattern their marriage after the will of God and not the will of men.
