Olayanju Flags Off Mini Sports Complex In Oke-Ogun
Lawmaker representing Irepo/Olorunsogo state constituency, Hon. Qozeem Olaynju has flagged off the construction of Igbeti Mini Stadium In Igbeti, Oke – Ogun area of Oyo state.
Speaking at the flag off of the Sports Complex which will house Football Pitch, Basket Ball, Volley Ball and Long Tennis Courts, Olayanju noted that the event was a step in the right direction to positioning his constituency and Oke-Ogun at large to attract investments.
The lawmaker said, he is moved for the project based on the popular demand of his constituents, especially the youths. ” the Mini stadium was not my own personal decision, thou, it has been my wish to encourage sporting activities in my community and to assist Oke-Ogun at large, but when i won the election, during consultations, more than 80% of people I consulted preferred sporting centre, so, that what brought about this mini stadium”.
Olayanju said he would double his efforts to put more infrastructure in place within his constituency, that would support and boast the economic and developmental growth of his constituency so as to create an avenue for everyone to feel the real dividends of democracy.
Speaking at the flag off event, the Asiwaju of Ayetoro, Chief Jacob Ayetoro commended hon. Olayanju for his strive for development of his constituency, said he, Olayanju is one of the best state honorables Irepo/Olorunsogo had ever produced.
” This is a good project our honorable ( Qozeem ) had brought for us, he promised to be a good representative and now keeping his promises. We are proud of you, we will continue to be praying for you.
” this Sports Complex that we had laid it foundation today after completion will bring about the renaissance required to rejig Igbeti, Kishi and Oke-Ogun sports development narratives, this is not ordinary sports complex, it is a symbol of development, it is an input to economic growth as well ” Chief Adetoro concluded.
Similarly in his address, Oyo State Chairman Solid and Minerals Resources Hon. Abiodun John Oni
hinted that the benefit that would be derived from the Mini Sports Complex would be unquantifiable, said will help to empower the youths in Igbeti, Kishi and Oke-Ogun communities, as well as lift the zone to very enviable heights in Sports.
Present at the flag off event are : Olorunsogo local government PDP party chairman, Alh Saminu Oladele, Olorunsogo local government PDP women leader, Madam Oni Foyeke, Olorunsogo local government council secretary, Hon Badmus Mutiu Adesoji, Area Commander of Police, ACP Adedeji Taiwo.
