Akintayo Sworn In For Second Term In Office, Promises Commissioning Of Projects In Few Weeks

 

The Ibadan Northeast local government chairman, Ibrahim Akintayo, and his deputy Mary Osomior have been sworn in in office to serve another three-year tenure.

 

 

The oath of office and oath of allegiance were administered by the chief judge of the state, Iyabo Yerima, on Friday at

Oyo state House of Chiefs, secretariat, Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

 

The chairman, decked in a white traditional attire and a purple cap, was sworn-in alongside other 32 elected local government at exactly 11:55 a.m.

 

Hon. Ibrahim Akinyo of the People’s Democratic Party was declared the winner after securing the highest number of votes at the April 27 local government elections in the state.

 

As he took the oath of office, Akintayo reaffirmed his dedication to serving the community and addressing the needs of the people at the grassroots level.

 

In his inaugural speech, Hon. Akintayo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Ibadan North East for their continued trust and support, he assured that, his new administration will experience a project commissioning soon.

 

Equally, he pledged to prioritize the needs of the people, focusing on initiatives that will enhance the quality of life in the local government area.

 

He said: “I am deeply honored to be entrusted with a second term as Chairman. My administration will remain committed to transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery.

 

“Again, I want to make a promise that I will work tirelessly to address the pressing needs of the people at the grassroots level. I will continue to work towards improving infrastructure, ensuring better healthcare,  education and address other critic sectors as well.”

 

” We ended the first time with commissioning of the project, and I am assuming the people of Ibadan North local government that, we will again Commison new projects in the coming weeks.

 

He also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the local government and the residents, urging everyone to participate actively in the development process.

 

Akintayo, however, called for unity and collective effort to achieve the common goals of prosperity and progress in the council.

 

The ceremony concluded with a sense of hope and anticipation as the chairman embarked on his new term, ready to lead Ibadan North East Local Government towards a
