Oyo COVID-19 Cases Exceeds 2000 On Friday
The Oyo State Government on Saturday announced 87 new cases of COVID-19 infection, bringing the total number in the state to 2076.
The state’s governor Seyi Makinde, announced this in a statement.
Makinde said that the state confirmed the 87 new cases after the results of the suspected cases came back positive.
” The COVID-19 confirmation tests for eighty-seven suspected cases came back POSITIVE. The cases are from Lagelu (11), Ibadan North (9), Ibadan South West (8), Oorelope (8), Ido (7), Ogbomosho North (7), Egbeda (5), Oyo East (4), Ibadan North West (4), Oluyole (4), Ogbomosho South (4), Oyo West (3), Atiba (3), Akinyele (2), Ogo Oluwa (2), Afijio (2), Ibarapa Central (2), Ibadan North East (1) and Iseyin (1) Local Government Areas. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 2076.
