After Arapaja Fallout, Ib’ South East Local Govt APM Leaders Affirm their Loyalty to Seyi Makinde
The leadership of the Allied Peoples Movement in Ibadan South East Local Government has affirmed their loyalty to the executive governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde. The affirmation was made known at the meeting of the APEX leadership of the party, which was held today at the Ibadan South East Local Government Secretariat, Mapo. The meeting, which had in attendance leaders and stakeholders of the party, emphasized that the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has done well for Ibadan South East Local Government and has transformed Oyo State through the various infrastructural projects, which have direct positive impacts on the lives of the residents of the state. They noted that the governor has demonstrated astute leadership qualities, which have resulted in unprecedented giant strides that cut across different sectors in the state.
The statement reads, “The governor has done well for us in Ibadan South East Local Government and Oyo State. He has transformed the state; he has implemented many legacy projects that will live beyond this generation. We have no other obligation than to affirm our loyalty to him and to continually support him and his administration. He has transformed lives through his various infrastructural development programmes; hence, he deserves our loyalty and support. All the leaders and stakeholders of APM in Ibadan South East Local Government will support him. We will support his aspiration to become president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; all the political functionaries champion this cause, the teeming party members are with us, and those that matter in the local government have declared their support too. He is our leader, the overall leader, and we shall continue to stand by him.” The statement concludes.
The stakeholders also pledged their support for the governorship candidate of the party, Mr. Abimbola Adekanbi, and promised to mobilize party members and the electorate for his success in the 2027 general elections.
Those in attendance at the meeting include: Hon. Dare Adeleke, leader; Hon Kunmi Adedina; Prof. Dahood Sangodoyin, Commissioner for Energy; Rep Abass Adigun Agboworin, member representing Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency; Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, chairman, Oyo State Local Government Pension Board; Hon. Oluwole Alawode, chairman, Ibadan South East Local Government; and Hon. Abiodun Adedoja, Ekolo, Special Adviser to the governor on Energy Security.
Others include Alhaji (Hon.) Yusuf Ali Temitope,(Supreme), Full Time Commissioner, Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Modiu Opeyemi Akande, Ibadan South East 1 State Constituency, Hon. Yinka Omikunle, Ibadan South East 2 State Constituency, Engr. Sulaiman Adesina, (World best), immediate past PDP chairman, and Hon. Olajide Oluwole, PDP chairman, Ibadan South East Local Government.
