NOA Urges Borders Community Leaders In Oyo To Take Responsibility, Report Any Influx Of Strangers

The National Orientation Agency, NOA, wants community leaders located at the border areas in Oyo State to take responsibility and report any influx of strangers in their community to security agents nearest to them, to curtail the spread of Covid-19 in the state.

Oyo State Director, NOA, Mrs. Dolapo Dosunmu made the appeal in a statement in Ibadan on the present Covid-19 situation in the state.

Mrs. Dosunmu expressed concern about the increasing migration of people from neighboring countries into Nigeria through the country’s porous land boarder, and interstate movement, noting that if proactive steps were not taken immediately to control the action, it could lead to increase in the cases of the pandemic in the state.

Mrs. Dosunmu appealed to residents to maintain a hygienic lifestyle, social distancing and the use of hand sanitizers in order to stop the spread of the virus.
