A 35-year-old man, Micheal Aremu, has appeared before an Ibadan Chief Magistrate’s Court for alleged rape.
Aremu who is facing two counts charge is accused of unlawfully having canal knowledge of one Olunike Olatunji without her consent.
The Police Prosecutor, Sunday Ogunremi told the court that the suspect who was working for the husband of the woman gave the victim some concoction and applied some things into the private part of the woman which resulted to bleeding.
The suspect, Michael Aremu pleaded not guilty to the charge and appealed for bail.
The Chief Magistrate, Taiwo Oladiran granted the suspect bail in the sum of five hundred thousand naira, with two sureties in like sum.
The Magistrate also said the sureties must have evidence of three years tax payment.
The case has been adjourned till next week Friday for hearing.
