Oyo LG Chairmen Hail Makinde, Security Agencies Over Rescue of Abducted Oriire Schoolchildren
The Forum of Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State has commended Governor Seyi Makinde and security agencies for the successful rescue of the schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area, describing the development as a testament to the state’s sustained commitment to security.
The commendation was conveyed in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Sikiru Sanda, and the Publicity Secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo.
The forum praised Governor Makinde for his proactive leadership and unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across Oyo State, noting that the successful rescue operation reflected the effectiveness of the government’s security strategies.
The council chairmen also lauded the efforts of the various security agencies involved in the operation, commending their professionalism, collaboration and resilience, which led to the safe return of the abducted victims.
