Ido LG Chairman Hails Makinde, Security Agencies Over Rescue of Abducted Orire Pupils, Teachers
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his leadership and commitment to security, following the successful rescue of the schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement, Adeojo described the safe return of the victims as a major relief to their families, communities and residents of the state who had anxiously awaited positive news since the abduction.
He said the successful rescue operation underscored Governor Makinde’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens, noting that the outcome reflected the administration’s determination to tackle insecurity across the state.
“The safe return of the victims is a great relief to their families, their communities and indeed all concerned Nigerians who anxiously awaited positive news throughout the unfortunate incident. This successful operation reflects the Governor’s resolve to prioritise the protection of lives and property,” he said.
The council chairman also expressed appreciation to the security agencies, local intelligence networks and other stakeholders whose professionalism, courage and coordinated efforts led to the successful rescue of the victims.
According to him, the dedication and sacrifices of the security personnel deserve the gratitude of the people of Oyo State and the nation at large.
Adeojo reaffirmed his support for the state government’s efforts to strengthen security and maintain peace, stressing that the protection of lives, property and the promotion of quality education remain collective responsibilities.
