Man Docked For Defrauding Employer Of 2 Million Naira In Ibadan
A thirty-year-old man, Sunday Ayedun has appeared before an Ibadan Magistrate Court sitting at Iwo Road, for defrauding his boss to tune of two million Naira through the internet.
The suspect who is said to be an employee of the complainant Mrs. Wuraola Amoo is facing a two-count charge bothering on stealing and conspiracy.
Arraigning the suspect, the Police Prosecutor, ASP Sunday Ogunremi told the court that the suspect cloned the mobile number of his boss without her consent and fraudulently withdrew up to two million Naira from her First Bank account.
According to Ogunremi, and gaining access to the victim’s account, the suspect suddenly turned himself to a philanthropist dashing people money as he liked.
The suspect pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge and his lawyer, Mrs Christy Gbadeyanka applied for bail on liberal terms.
The magistrate, Taiwo Oladiran therefore granted him bail in the sum five hundred thousand Naira with two sureties in like sum.
He said the sureties will submit document of their landed property and current account statement.
The case has been adjourned to August 20 to commence hearing.
