The elected Councillor representing Ward 04 in the local government area, Hon. Jamiu Olaide Tijani, has empowered 40 residents across communities within his ward through a cash support initiative aimed at improving their economic well-being.

The empowerment programme, which attracted political stakeholders and community leaders, was held amid commendations for the councillor’s commitment to grassroots development and support for constituents.

Speaking during the event, Hon. Tijani said the initiative was designed to provide financial assistance to residents and encourage self-reliance among beneficiaries in the ward.

Several political leaders and dignitaries attended the programme, including Mr. Mathew Akano, Senior Adviser to the Governor on Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency matters; Alhaji Ojo Alabi Adelabu; former Ward Chairman, JP Alagbe; Bimbo Akande; Baba Ramona, among others.

The leaders lauded the councillor for the gesture, describing the empowerment as a step towards alleviating economic hardship and strengthening community support at the grassroots level.

Beneficiaries of the programme expressed appreciation to Hon. Tijani for the initiative and pledged to make productive use of the financial support received.
