In an effort to support the Oyo state government in the fight against Coronavirus and encourage the stay-at-home directive, The Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT), Ibadan has donated relief food items to Oyo state government to cushion the effect of COVID-19 on her residents.
Presenting the relief items on behalf of GOFAMINT Ibadan region, which comprises of Region 2,11 and 17, Pastor Amos Akangbe acknowledged the efforts of the state government in curbing the spread of the Covid 19 in the state, hinted that, the church of God will continue to support the government through prayers and with more donations.
In his statement, Pastor Akangbe said, donation of food supplies to Oyo state government is in addition to the relief materials which the church has donated to Ogun state government on Tuesday April 14th.
Pastor Akangbe, also advised every individuals to comply with state government and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) directives, by taking necessary precautions towards the spread of coronavirus pandemic, he pointed out that, this is another time to live out the love lessons which christianity teaches.
urged residents to be a cheerful giver, especially when there is anyone in need ask for help.
He encouraged Nigerians to avoid spreading false information or sharing the scary part of the current situation, instead, verify every information’s before sharing them especially on social media.
Receiving the medical equipment on behalf of the State government, Commisoner for Agriculture, Hon. Jacob Ojekunke said the present administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, had taken special note “wonderful support” of the GOFAMINT church towards curtailing the challenges of COVID-19 in Oyo state.
He described the food items as most valuable, declaring that the donation represents a big boost to Oyo State government’s ongoing effort to cope with the pandemic.
Some of other minister of God present at the Government house for the donation includes : Pastor M.O Ojuolape RP region 17, Pastor Abel Afolabi, Pastor Pastor C.A Gbemiro, Elder Blessing and Engr. Femi Afolabi.
