A PDP chieftain in Ibadan North Local government area of Oyo state, Hon. Adeniyi Adeyinka BIBIRE has urged Oyo state residence to comply with the directives given by the state government and other public safety advisories, saying coronavirus is deadly and real.
In a statement issued on Wednesday morning, Bibire advised people to abide by the instructions given on the prevention on the spread of the coronavirus, urged people not to panic, however reminded them of the terrible situation the world is in, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
“ For our own good, we have to observe the Oyo state government’s directives on social distancing and promptly report to the health authorities if anyone notice any of the symptoms of COVID-19. Delay could be fatal. The Health Ministry has made available their hotlines.” Bibire said.
“ We are in a trying period, we need to do the needful to protect ourselves from the COVID-19 pandemic, as the governor gave the directives, said there is ban on gatherings such as religious services, weddings, parties, burial ceremonies and limited gatherings to 30 persons or less, we have to obey, these are the sacrifices we need to make to preserve and protect our loved ones, thou, His Excellency has promised us that the measures will be reviewed in two weeks time.
