Political bigwigs in Lagelu local government area of Oyo on Monday present at Lagun community to honor the executive chairman of the council, Hon. Mudasiru Kamorudeen for his homecoming reception.
Mudasiru Kamorudeen the newly chairman of Lagelu local government visited his hometown, at Lagun, also in attendance were the local government political actors.
The Lagelu/Akinyele federal lawmaker, Hon. Lafisoye Akinmoyede, Oyo state Assembly member, representing Lagelu state constituency, Hon. Akintunde Emmanuel Oyo Commissioner for Public Works- Prof. Dahud Shangodoyin were at the home coming reception.
Others Include, Lagelu Vice Chairman- Hon. Olayinka Sadiq, governor Seyi Makinde’s Ally, Chief. Babatunde Tijani, former S.A to the governor, Hon. Kunle Yusuf, MON, 2023 PDP Lagelu/Akinyele House of representatives candidates Hon. Adetokunbo Adeaga, former Lagelu local government chairman, Hon. Taofeek Arowomole and many other politicians.
Rep. member, Lafisoye described the event as uncommon in Lagelu local government says it is the first of it kind as politicians from different political party will gathered with same aim to celebrate.
Lafisoye who is a member of APC commended the PDP members, such as AKT, Commissioner for Works and others for the readiness to promote the local government with opposition party, said the homecoming event is a defining moment for all.
The council chairman, Hon. Mudasiru Kamorudeen at the event received award of excellence from the Onilagun of Lagun, Oba Najimdeen Olalekan Bello
In his reaction, the chairman Mudasiru Kamorudeen acknowledged the continuous support of sons and daughters Lagun community towards the progress of the community and Lagelu local government. He assured that, his administration will not relent in complementing their efforts.
Mudasiru Kamorudeen also assured that, he will use his own time as chairman of local government to promote love, peace and understanding among politicians in the local government irrespective of their political affiliations.
