The outgoing law makers in Oyo State are not setting aside any stone unturned as provisions for enforcement, sanctions and legal backings for the state Bureau of physical planning and development has been pass into law.
The speaker of the Oyo State House of A ssembly, Mr Olagunju Ojo representing Orire state constituency after passing the bill to law called on building engineers to comply with construction laws and regulations to forestall the incessant cases of building collapse in the state.
Oyo state Bureau of Physical Planning and Development Control Amendment Bill 2018, is expected to reduce incessant cases of building collapse as a result of contravention of development plans, charged relevant agencies to ensure strict enforcement of the law.
Chairman, House committee on Lands, Housing and Survey, Dr Peter Oyetunji advised Members of the public to consult the state bureau of physical planning before construction.
