The Oyo state publicity secretary of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP Mr. Femi Olaitan Hero has reaffirmed the party’s stand on the suspension of Princess Aderonke Adedoja, a federal House of Representative candidate for Oluyole federal constituency.

The candidate, Adedoja on Saturday reacted to the party’s decision on her alleged involvement in anti-party activities.

Adedoja in her press statement claimed to dismiss her expulsion by the NNPP state exco and described it as ineffective and an effort in futility.

She described the party decision as vicious threats by those she referred to as mischievous, who she said ganged up to expel her.

She said the decision is a non-futile threat like a pointless arrow with no powers to hit its target.

Femi Hero in a Swift response said Adejoke shouldn’t be quick to decide on her fate with expulsion from the party but rather try to deal with the suspension pronounced on her until further action will be taken.

Hero said the action which will either be lifting the suspension or expelling her from the party.

” The attention of our great party, NNPP has been drawn to a statement released by one of the suspended female candidates, who was alleged of anti-party activities in the last election.

” Though, the candidate, Princess Aderonke Adedoja was only on suspension, and not yet expelled her ongoing arrogance and disrespect to party structure may call for further disciplinary action.

To her notice, our party found her romance with the opposition party and display of other party names and logos with NNPP during the build-up of the governorship election as against the party constitution and an action that caused serious damage to the party image and affected the party candidates during the election.

Hero further stated that Adedoja’s political inactiveness and nonchalant attitude toward the progress of the party in Oyo state since he got the federal House of Representatives ticket should have been questioned by the party disciplinary committee but, was pardoned severally due to several pleas from some party leaders, being a female candidate for House of Representatives.

“Having read all that she said in her reaction to the suspension, I can boldly say that, “Princess Aderonke Adedoja has no shame but still hoping to reap where not sowed”.

” To set the record straight, Princess Adedoja has seen herself as not a member of NNPP since she got the ticket on a platter of gold. She never participated in any of the party activities, even though she was deliberately absent during the governorship primaries, unveiling the governor and his deputy, and when the governorship candidates came to Ibadan for the presidential rally, she knows all these called for discipline but was pardoned.

In addition, “the party on behalf of our amiable chairman, Hon. Adesesan Adegbola, we are disappointed in Princess Adedoja’s effort to the party in her political Ward and local government being a candidate in the last election.

More so, as a party member who has been suspended, our party will like to educate Princess Adedoja that, she remains suspended and will not be the one to deny the suspension until the party comes up with a new decision.

In her claim about the financial issues, I am happy to inform Aderonke Adedoja that, all receipts of payment made by the governorship candidate, Engr. Popoola Olukayode Joshua, who is the major financier of the party, used to assist her as a candidate is available at the party office, including how the governorship candidate paid for her Interest and Nomination form.

According to Aderonke, she argues that there was a long history of bitter hatred she got from some notable members of the party ( NNPP) after she made a for accountability and transparency in the way monies disbursed from the party headquarters are spent in the state, said thou her point was swept this under the carpet. In his response given to Aderonke, Hero said, Thee party hierarchy noticed her aim and objective in the party was to benefit monetary from the party, so that made her interested in money coming from the national headquarters even as a party candidate but failed from her responsibility.

” Princess Aderonke needs more education on how a political party is run, she collects party tickets with the hope that the national office will give out huge amounts for candidates to run the election but was frustrated when they do not drop in her account as expected. I will like to ask her why she failed to write the national party in Abuja when she noticed there is money given to Oyo state but not judiciously used. Too much expectation of money from the party made Aderonke lose focus and completely missed out on gaining good integrity as a candidate.

” Though she has been suspended, because her unnecessary outburst might lead to expulsion but I will still like to explain to suspended Aderonke Adedoja that, no financial assistance was rendered from the national party either to the party or the candidates in Oyo state till days to the presidential election, which she also was a major beneficiary, so it was surprising when she said some certain monies were received by a party from national and not well spent while she said claimed she never collected any money from the party, whereas she was at a certain point sponsored by the governorship candidate and a leader of the party, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan.

In conclusion, I will rather advise Princess Adedoja to go to a law court for redress instead of staying in the corridor of her room to fight the decision of the state disciplinary committee, which has already been ratified by the State Working Committee and National Working Committee”. Femi Hero stated.
