The list of aspirants who have emerged as candidates for the House of Representatives seats for the All Progressives Congress (APC) across various federal constituencies in Oyo State has begun to generate reactions within political circles, as several incumbent lawmakers secured tickets to seek re-election ahead of the next general election.
Among the returning lawmakers is Akeem Adeyemi, who emerged as a candidate for Afijio/Atiba/Oyo East/Oyo West Federal Constituency, while Tajudeen Abisodun Kareem clinched the ticket for Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West Federal Constituency.
Also returning is Olusegun Odebunmi, who is seeking a fourth term in the House of Representatives for Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency.
For Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency, Akinola Alabi secured the ticket to pursue a third term, while Tolulope Akande-Sadipe also emerged as a candidate for Oluyole Federal Constituency for another term in office.
Other candidates who emerged include Bosun Oladele for Irepo/Olorunsogo/Orelope Federal Constituency and Folake Olunloyo-Osinowo for Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency.
Similarly, Olamiju Alao-Akala secured the ticket for Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South/Orire Federal Constituency, while Olafisoye Akinmoyede emerged for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency as he seeks a second term in office.
In Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Umar-Farouk Alao emerged as the candidate, while Sarafa Olaniye clinched the ticket for Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency.
Also on the list is Saheed Adejare Yusuf, who emerged for Kajola/Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa Federal Constituency.
Meanwhile, Ibraheem Olayode Iyiola secured the ticket for Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency and is expected to seek his first term in the Green Chamber.
The candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency is, however, yet to be announced, as party stakeholders continue consultations over the ticket.
