Your Appointment Is A Blessing To Oke Ogun, Igbeti Community Leaders Hail Oyo Deputy Gov
Igbeti community leaders in Olorunsogo local government area on Wednesday afternoon visited the Oyo state deputy governor, Bar. Bayo Lawal to congratulate him on his appointment.
Bayo Lawal was sworn in as state deputy governor a few days ago after the impeachment of the former deputy governor, Rauf Olaniyan.
The igbeti leaders which were led by the Asiwaju of Igbeti, Chief Jacob Adetoro congratulate and solidarize with Bayo Lawal at the Oyo state government secretariat, Ibadan said Olorunsogo, Irepo, and Orelope were very lucky to retain the deputy governor’s seat.
” We are here today to congratulate and pledge our support to your seat, we are from Olorunsogo local government while you are from Irepo, but the relationship between us based on shared feelings, interests, and political association can never be overemphasized.
” We also thank Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde for retaining the deputy governorship seat in our federal constituency, the three local governments constitute a federal constituency and we will continue to work as one”, Adetoro said.
In his reaction, the state deputy governor thanked the people of Igbeti for the solidarity visit and urged continued support and belief in his capacity.
” I am very happy to receive my people from Igbeti, this shows I am more loved back home. Your visitation means a lot.
” I want you to let us use this deputy governorship seat to justify the decision of governor Makinde. The seat is not our birthright, but, we were lucky to retain it, so, it is a challenge for us all, we must meet up to the expectation of the government and people of Oyo state”, the deputy governor stated.
” More so, I want us to work together for the continuity of this government, our region, Oke Ogun is benefiting from government, so the re-election of the governor should be our political priority”. Bayo Lawal concluded.
