Seyi Makinde Presents Gbolarumi As PDP Stakeholder, MkB As Senator To Oyo State Muslim Community
It was a drama last night when the two controversial candidates of People’s Democratic Party for Oyo South Senatorial District Bar. Hazeem Golarunmi and Dr Muhammed Kola Balogun presents for recognition as senatorial candidate for Oyo South during Seyi Makinde meeting with Oyo State Muslim Community inside Aree Musulumi house.
Westerndailynews gathered that, the meeting was facilitated with the Muslim leaders in Ibadan to give blue print of the PDP governorship candidate Engr Seyi Makinde to the Muslim community.
The meeting which was held inside Alhaji Dawud Akinola (De-Damak) house, opposite HARF building, Agodi GRA, Ibadan North, Oyo South district calls for presence of Dr Mahammed Kola Bologun as he is the acclaimed party senatorial candidate of the area.
The comic reliefs started when Bar. Hazeem Gbolarunmi storms the venue uninvited with his supporters, got himself an armchair to sit with important personalities at the high table as Engr. Seyi Makinde and other PDP members looks with mouth opened.
While Bar. Gbolarunmi seeing and presenting himself as Oyo South Senatorial Candidate in the midst, more drama was added during the introduction of PDP chieftains and candidates by Engr. Seyi Makinde to the Muslim community. The governorship candidate unveiled Dr. Muhammed Kola Bologun as PDP Oyo South Senatorial Candidate and introduced Bar. Hazeem Gbolarunmi as Oyo State PDP chieftain.
The citation for Bar. Hazeem Gbolarunmi by Engr. Seyi Makinde seems not acceptable by Gbolarunmi supporters as all reversed their master’s giving attribution and keep shouting ” Gbolarunmi is the senator, Senator, Senator ” in the presence of the Muslim Leaders.
It would be recalled that, there is an ongoing power tussle in Oyo central PDP as the two candidates are in court to secure the Oyo South single senatorial seat ticket of PDP.
Bar. Gbolarunmi and Bayo Lawal are the two aspirants that went for Oyo South senatorial primary which was won by Bayo Lawal. It was after the defection of Dr Muhammed Kola Bologun from African Democratic Congress ( ADC ) to PDP that he was awarded the uncontested senatorial ticket by the Oyo PDP.
Also present at PDP Oyo State Muslim Community meeting were members of the League of Imams and Alfas in Oyo State, led by the Chief Imam of Ibadan Land, Sheik Abdul Ganiyu Agbotomokekere
