Repete Resigns For Ajimobi To Be APC Deputy South West Chairman
It has been revealed that, Bolaji Afeez Repete, the All Progressive Congress deputy national youth leader is the Oyo state party man who resigned his position at national to paved way for ex Oyo governor Abiola Ajimobi to be the party Southwest national deputy chairman, a position recently vacated by former Governor of Ekiti State and Minister of Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo.
Following the decision by some top Southwest leaders and elders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at a meeting held last Friday at the Lagos State House, Marina, that the party’s Deputy National Chairman position should be fixed,
the Party leaders agreed to move the slot to Oyo, consider Abiola Ajimobi as a party leader to filled the position.
It was revealed that, some leaders went against seeding the position to Oyo, raised an eye brow that, Oyo can’t have two functioning positions at the national level, since Afeez Bolaji Repete is currently the deputy national youth leader. They gave condition that either Ondo retained the position of deputy southwest chairman and and Repete continues with his position or Ajimobi gets the slot and Repete vacate his position for a candidate from Ondo.
Westerndailynews gathered that, permutation was made back home, as Repete was directed to resign his position to allow his leader, Ajimobi to be the new southwest deputy chairman.
As he resigned for his master to show his loyalty, it was gathered that Repete will be confirmed as a special adviser to Ajimobi, Southwest APC deputy chairman, a position back by the party constitution.
