Oyo Talent I.D Starts 2021 With A Win

The Oyo state Talent Identification football team started the new year with a deserved wining.

Oyo I.D on Wednesday played 12 Alives FC at Loyola College football pitch with two goals to one.

The football match was a continuation of the team’s preparation for their final try out with Westbromwich Albion in United kingdom.

Samuel Afolabi, the goal scorer speaking after the match said it was a difficult game for the boys but their hard works during the training sessions paid off.

Oyo Talent Identification football team are group of Talented young players selected by Westbromwich Albion coaches during their hunt for football talents in Oyo state last year January.

In a post match coach interview with westerndailynews, the team Coach, Hammed Okunola said he is very happy with the development and improvement of the young kids so far, ” They were taking the challenge infront of them seriously and they can’t afford to waste the government investment on them.

” They played against a side that have been together for a very longtime. A strong, young, discipline and tactically sound side.
We will continue work hard on our players to improve more. Coach Hammed Okunola stated.

The CEO/MD Bestowed Grace Football Academy Mr. Ismail Ridwan Ayomide who is also the organiser of the talent identification said he is pleased with the performance of the players and their winning mentality. ” The boys played well today and it is as usual, their performances so far is sign of assurance that they will perform absolutely well during the final phase at the Residential camp in Westbromwich Albion, United kingdom.

Giving an hint on the level of progress about the aiming trial for the kids, he said ” we are working tirelessly to facilitate the trip and also thank His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde for his support for the program so far also appreciate the continuous efforts the Commissioner for youth and Sport Seun Fakorede and the entire Ministry of youth and Sport, Ismail Ridwan concluded.
