Oyo: FM Justifies Position Over Iseyin South Development Union’s Allegation On Illegal Sales Of Community Property
People of Iseyin South Development Union, in Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State have alleged the Vice-Chairman/ Political Head of Iseyin South LCDA, Hon. Fasasi Raheem Ajibola fondly called ‘FM’ of illegal sales of community/public property in his domain.
Mr Fatai Bolatito Olalere, Chairman, Koso Community Development Union while speaking with news men at Iseyin LG Secretariat condemned alleged sales of community property by the political head.
He said all communities made up Iseyin South LCDA jointly released the properties/facilities being used as the seat of Iseyin South LCDA currently, when they were evicted from Trans Motel they were using before, because of their their esteemed belief in partnering with the government of Governor Seyi Makinde whose love is akin on grassroot development.
Olalere however lamented that he was surprised that the sales of Iron Shed/warehouse by FM was a total display of fraudulent/crooked intention of the Political Head trusted with the overseeing of the LCDA to have conspired, supritend and embarked on illegal sales of those properties in the premises of the LCDA, under the cover of the night and allegedly pocketed a sum of #100million as the proceed of the sales.
Community Chairman said that, FM should be prevailed upon to return the property/iron shed that he allegedly sold before people of entire Iseyin South LCDA make the council ungovernable for him.
Olalere maintained that, Iseyin South Development Union has written and copied letters to appropriate quarters for necessary steps and in order to avoid taking law into their arms.
In his submission, FM maintained that he had no any ulterior motive but pure intention to rebuild the building/hall and add aesthetics to the place.
FM added that the sales of Scrap Irons to the buyer was a swapping arrangement to make a beffiting and attractive hall.
FM said, his intention over the place was consequent upon the poor and outdated look of the hall, where community, CDC meetings and other engagements are carried out.
He furthered that, all materials to use for the reconstruction of the hall have been provided by the technician saddled with that task.
He however said, that the place they are using now was once used by British American Tobacco(BAT) as it acquired it over the last 50 years.
He added that, the place was truly released by Iseyin South Development Union for LCDA’s use and his intention to transform the place as he met it orchestrated the move.
Earlier, the Executive Chairman, Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Muftau Osuolale Abilawon said he had been briefed about the matter and he is on top of the game to ensure that he brokers peace between the two sides.
The lawmakers at the local council had however suspended FM until the committee designated for investigation completes its task.
