The Oyo House of Assembly on Thursday held a valedictory session for its former Speaker, Rt. Hon Kehinde Ayoola, who died on May 14 at the age of 55.
Westerndailynews reports that the valedictory session for the departed former speaker and Environmental commissioner was also attended by family, friends and all members of the house.
In his tribute to the deceased, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin, described the late Ayoola as a hardworking man with selfless personality, who always offered his time, expertise and resources when needed.
He promised the house commitment to assist the children in their pursuit in life.
The house later observed a minute silence in honour of the formal speaker.
The late Hon. Kehinde Ayoola was Oyo state House of Assembly speaker from June to November, 1999. Until his death, he was the state Hon. Commissioner for Environment.
Late Ayoola was from Apaara Oyo town, survived by wife and children.
