Concerned stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State have distanced themselves from what they described as “inflammatory and unauthorized publications” circulating in the media and on social platforms in their name.

In a statement issued under the banner of “Oyo APC Concerned Stakeholders/Leaders,” the group said the publications were being circulated by unknown individuals or groups allegedly masquerading as concerned stakeholders and leaders of the party.

The stakeholders maintained that the publications did not reflect their position, values or collective objectives as loyal members committed to the unity, progress and electoral success of the APC in Oyo State and across the country.

The group also congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the APC presidential flagbearer for the 2027 general election, describing his leadership, resilience and commitment to national development as a source of inspiration to party members nationwide.

According to the statement, party faithful in Oyo State should remain calm, focused and resilient in the face of provocations and distractions, while efforts to maintain sanity, discipline and cohesion within the party continue.

The stakeholders further urged party members and supporters to disregard manipulated figures and speculative reports allegedly being circulated concerning the recently concluded governorship primaries in the state.

While acknowledging that concerns could arise in every democratic process, the group warned members against making statements or taking actions capable of deepening divisions within the party.

They also called on relevant party authorities to release the authentic and comprehensive results of all party primaries conducted in Oyo State, in line with practices in other states of the federation.

Reaffirming their loyalty to the APC, the stakeholders expressed confidence that a united, disciplined and focused party would secure victory in the 2027 general elections and continue to provide purposeful leadership for Nigerians.

The statement was signed by Saheed-Lekan Olayiwola (Aare), Hon. Ishola Akeem Adetoyese, Akinleye Segun (Bishop), Mogaji Abiola Oyeyemi, Adekola Mudashir (Asiwaju), Oloye Banji Agboola and Hon. Inaolaji Akinloye on behalf of the concerned stakeholders and leaders of the APC in Oyo State.
