Ongoing Uproar In Ido PDP As Party Leaders Say No To Sheriff Adeojo, Vice As Consensus Candidates
All are let loose at the ongoing peace meeting organized for People’s Democratic Party stakeholders from Ido local government as all said no to Sheriff Adeojo’s second term bid and adopted vice chairmanship candidate.
According to a reliable source, the Ido PDP stakeholders on Wednesday gathered to disagree again on a chairmanship consensus candidate for the local government ahead of the coming state local government election.
It was gathered that, after a meeting which was held at the party deputy national chairman of the party, Amb. Taofik Arapaja, in Ibadan, where Hon. Sheriff Adeojo was announced as the preferred candidate for Ido with a rejection by the party leaders present.
It is confirmed that things went out of point today, during an organized meeting to placate the leaders at Southland Hotel in Ido.
It was reported that the majority of the present leaders stood on their stand with no imposition and any meeting producing the incumbent local government chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo will be condemned and the result rejected. They also rejected the adoption of vice chairmanship candidate.
As of the time of writing this report, an effort to reach the party chairman, Alhaji Ayuba, and serving lawmaker was unsuccessful as neither of them was reachable
