Ona Ara LG Boss Commends Makinde Over Road Projects

The executive chairman, Ona Ara Local Government, Hon. Musibau Sanusi  has commended the Governor of Oyo state, Engr. Seyi Makinde’s agenda of providing succour to the people through developmental Projects across the state.

Hon. Sanusi popularly known as Shaba stated that one of the projects was the construction of 34.7km Beere/Dagbolu road, which when completed will improve economic state of the area.

A release, signed by the council’s Head of Information Unit, Kafayat Olagunju, stated that

Hon. Sanusi gave the commendation during a stakeholders’ meeting with the state Commissioner for Public Works and Transportation, Prof. Daud Sangodoyin.

The council Boss, popularly known as Shaba, assured the people that alternative roads will be provided for motorists to ease their movements throughout the construction exercise.

He also used the medium to appreciate the Governor for timely reconstruction of dilapidated bridge in Foworogun area of the council, which he said had been neglected for years.

Earlier In his speech, the state Commissioner for Public Works and Transportation, Prof. Sangodoyin urged the people to exercise patience during the course of the project, with an assurance that it will boost the state economy and make life more meaningful for the people of Ona Ara Local Government.

Prof. Sangodoyin maintained that the Beere/Dagbolu road will be completed next year, adding that the government was ready to give necessary compensation to genuine property owners affected by the project.

In his response, the Chairman Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Engr. Dotun Sanusi expressed gratitude to the Governor for making the construction work a reality, with a promise to give necessary support during the construction exercise.

In his admonition, the traditional ruler Oniladuntan of Laduntan, Oba Kamorudeen Adebowale appealed to the residents of the council to be tolerant during the exercise.

The meeting was attended by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Infrastructure and Transportation, Engr. Seyi Adeleye, the Leader of Legislative Arm, Hon. Olapade Fatai, Councillors, Hon. Taiwo Oke, Hon. Mufutau Ogunremi, Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs Adekunle M. O, representatives of the construction company handling the project, among others.
