The Executive Chairman Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has felicitated with Oyo State residents, most especially the Muslim brothers and sisters in the Council on this year’s 2023 Maulud Nabbiy Celebration.

Akintayo, in a press statement made available by his Media Office in Ibadan, equally advised Muslims and all Nigerians to imbibe the deeds of Prophet Muhammad.

While describing the prophet as trustworthy, lover of peace, who preaches peace and love throughout his life time, He charged Nigerians to love one another and maintain peace wherever they are.

“Today, I want to extend warm greetings and best wishes to Muslims worldwide on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

“Let me also say that you are not a Muslim until you love your brother as you love yourself, which means anything you want for yourself, you must want it for your brother too.

“So, as we all know, when there is peace and love, then development will stand.

“Happy Celebration to you all,” the statement read.

Similarly, Akintayo expressed his sincere appreciation to the good people of the state for showing uncommon love for the present administration of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde.

He, therefore, urged them to continue to use this period to pray for more wisdom and strength for the Governor with a view to moving Oyo State to an enviable State.
