JUST IN: Oyo Discharges Another 180 COVID-19 Patients
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Tuesday morning announced the discharge of 180 more COVID-19 patients from Oyo state facilities to reunite with the society.
All the patients were discharged after full recovery and testing negative for COVID-19 twice
This was contained in a statement released by Makinde while giving his Oyo state Covid-19 Taskforce update for June 29, 2020.
” 180 confirmed COVID-19 cases received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 688.
” Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for sixty-six suspected cases came back POSITIVE. The cases are from Ibadan North West (26), Ibadan North (9), Ibadan South West (6), Ido (6), Lagelu (4), Egbeda (3), Oyo East (3), Ibarapa North (3), Saki West (2), Ibadan South East (1), Ibadan North East (1), Akinyele (1) and Itesiwaju (1) Local Government Areas. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 1372.
” Sadly, we had one COVID-19 related death. So, the total number of deaths in Oyo State is twelve.
” Please keep following the guidelines of the COVID-19 Task Force to ensure that we slow down the spread of coronavirus in our state. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser, wear face masks in public places and maintain proper social distancing.
