Ido LG Chairperson Congratulates Children on International Children’s Day; Calls for Prayers for Abducted Children
Chief Mrs. Ifedolapo Adeojo, wife of the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, warmly congratulates all children, especially those of Ido, on the occasion of International Children’s Day, observed annually on 27 May.
In her message, she celebrated the promise and potential of young people and urged them to be exemplary ambassadors of their families and community. She encouraged children to take their education seriously, cultivate good conduct, and remain disciplined, foundations she described as essential for future success.
Ido Chairperson further appealed to parents and caregivers to prioritise their children’s education and wellbeing, reminding them that “parents need to train them today so as to relax in the future.” She called on teachers to provide guidance, create safe learning environments, and support children’s ambitions.
Expressing deep concern over the recent abductions in neighbouring Orire Local Government, Chief Mrs. Ifedolapo Adeojo called on Islamic clerics, mothers, and all people of goodwill to pray fervently for the safe and speedy return of the missing children and teachers during this Sallah period. “They shall return safely soonest by His grace,” she prayed.
Praying for the children’s bright futures and for peace across the region, she added: “May God help us. I pray that our children grow to become great and that their successes bring honour and prosperity to their parents and our community.” She wished all children a happy and fulfilling International Children’s Day.
