In a move aimed at promoting grassroots representation, Engr. Aderemi Oseni, the lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency of Oyo state, distributed letters of appointment to sixty special assistants (60) on Wednesday.
Recall that the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), who initiated the appointment last year via his newly launched community-based platform, aimed at addressing the challenges faced by his constituents, stressed the importance of the appointees aligning with his progressive and liberation vision for the constituency.
The ceremony, held at the Ologuneru constituency office in Ibadan, marked a significant step in Oseni’s commitment to addressing the challenges faced by his constituents.
During the presentation, the Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to the lawmaker, Alhaji Hakeem Okedina, emphasised the need for appointees to embody qualities such as innovation, patriotic commitment, high integrity, and diligence in carrying out their responsibilities.
Okedina further underscored the transformative aspirations of the constituency, urging the newly appointed special assistants to align themselves with Oseni’s liberation vision.
He stressed that they must be good team players and work closely with their community leaders, party leaders, and members to collectively achieve the goals of improving the lives of the people of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.
The lawmaker’s aide charged the appointees with diligence, loyalty, and sacrifice to promote good governance and service delivery in the constituency.
“You should be reminded that, as special assistants to Hon. Oseni, you are privileged to handle classified information that requires absolute confidentiality. You are also expected to embrace the principle of transparency, and most importantly, prioritise the needs of our esteemed constituents without any sentiments,” he charged.
