A group called Oodua Youth Parliament has recommended for the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde to appoint Babatunde Olanrewaju as Special Adviser on Students Matters.
Oodua Youth Parliament is a conglomeration of Oodua Youths across the globe which oversees the affairs of the Yoruba lineage, culture and heritage.
In a statement released by the Speaker of the Parliament, Hon. Abdulmajeed Oladimeji Oyeniyi on Friday while briefing our correspondent recommended that the Governor should appoint an energetic and vibrant hand who is capable to work in the spirit of sportsmanship with the government.
He said, “I must salute the efforts of Oyo state Governor in the last one month, it is obvious that he’s taking the state to the desired promised land. Am not surprise seeing Engr. Seyi Makinde doing all these because he’s fully prepared ahead of the task, before he assume office he has prepared an accelerated roadmap for his governance. On this note, the leadership of Oodua Youth Parliament hereby wish the Governor well, and we also want to recommend that Comrade Olanrewaju Babatunde be appointed as the Special Adviser on Students Matters”.
Olanrewaju Babatunde has served in many capacities at the level of National Association of Nigerian Students, he is a former Chairman of the state structure of NANS, former director on campus affairs to NANS National President. He has always involve himself in the welfarism of Nigeria students and his interventions has always help to resolve a lot of issues across tertiary institutions in the state and beyond.
The speaker further states that if the Governor can adopt Olanrewaju, there will be close relationship between the government and the students because the entirety of tertiary institutions students in the state will prefer him. He is reserved, diligent and hardworking.
Once again, I will encourage the Governor not to relent in his effort to make his government all inclusive especially with the youths, the speaker said.
