The Director General, Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency ( OYSADA ), Debo Akande has been appointed to the Board of the African Agricultural Leadership Institute, a pan-African non-profit organisation headquartered in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The appointment of Akande, who is also Director, Partnerships for Development Directorate (P4D) CEO, IITA Business Incubation Platform Ltd is the recognition of his contributions to agricultural development, agribusiness promotion, and policy advocacy within Nigeria and across the African continent.
The African Agricultural Leadership Institute focuses on driving agricultural transformation across Africa through leadership development, agribusiness support, youth empowerment, and strategic partnerships aimed at improving food security and economic growth.
With its headquarters in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the institute works with stakeholders across several African countries to promote innovation, sustainable agriculture, and capacity building for emerging leaders in the agricultural sector.
Akande’s inclusion on the board is expected to strengthen the institute’s mission of fostering agricultural excellence and empowering young Africans through transformative initiatives in agribusiness and leadership development.
