Covid-19 : Oyo Records 6 New Cases, Discharges 17 With 6 Deaths
Six new cases of Covid-19 was recorded in Oyo state on Tuesday, according to report from Seyi Makinde, the state governor.
Makinde via his Facebook page early on Wednesday morning, he gave an update on coronavirus confirmed, discharged and death cases.
The governor said, six new cases was recoded on Wednesday May 26 after discharged of 17 Covid-19 patients who had received their second negative test results.
Again, an iSON Xperiences staff tested positive, one each from Ibadan South West, Ibadan South East, Surulere, Ido and Egbeda Local Government Areas.
As today ( Thursday ) the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 250 with six deaths
According to Governor Makinde Oyo state Covid-19 task force update for May 26, 2020, he stated:
” Seventeen confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to seventy-five.
” Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for six suspected cases came back POSITIVE. One case is from iSON Xperiences and one each from Ibadan South West, Ibadan South East, Surulere, Ido and Egbeda Local Government Areas, Sadly, two of the six positive cases confirmed today had already passed away. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 250 and the total number of deaths is six.
