Breaking : 6 Togolese, 2 From Ogbomoso Tested Positive For Coronavirus In Oyo
The Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde, has confirmed Eight new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.
According to Makinde, he announced Eight new cases for the state during his Oyo State Covid-19 Task Force Update May 01, 2020, gave Eight Togolese and Two Oyo State residents from Ogbomoso as new patients.
Makinde updated that, the COVID-19 confirmation test for two pending suspected cases came back positive on Friday ( already added on NCDC database on Thursday ) which was reported by westerndailynews 24 hours ago.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State to 29 according to NCDC with 20 active cases according to Makinde.
In his Oyo State Covid-19 Task Force Update May 01, 2020, Makinde said :
” We have started receiving results of pending COVID-19 confirmation tests. Two tests came back positive late last night. One from a UCH doctor who returned from Kano and another is a worker with the State Security Service.
Another eight tests came back positive today. Of the eight newly confirmed cases, six are Togolese nationals and the remaining two are Oyo State residents in Ogbomoso.
In addition to the case recorded in Lagos which was announced yesterday, another confirmed case recorded in Kano is also being managed in Oyo State. This brings the number of active cases in Oyo State to twenty “.
