Akorede LCDA Tasks Traders On Cleaner Markets
The Akorede Local Development Council Area, LCDA, has reiterated its commitment to ensuring markets in the LCDA are cleaner, safer and warning against indiscriminate dumping of refuse.
The Chairman, Hon Wahab Kazeem, stated this during a meeting with Akorede/Oluyole LCDA market leaders who paid him a Courtesy visit in his office.
He advised them on proper disposal and evacuation of refuse from the markets, medians and walkways.
He urged them to cooperate with the new ‘Clean And Green Initiative’, by the state government, saying this would make the LCDA and State cleaner, safer and economically viable.
Speaking earlier, Chief Mukaila Olalere, the Babaloja General of Akorede/Oluyole LCDA, who led other sectional market leaders to the meeting, commended the Chairman for giving them audience in spite of a short notice, said the meeting was imperative in order to intimate the LCDA with some challenges being faced in various markets in the LCDA.
The Chairman said he had taken into cognisance all their complaints and challenges on security, public toilet facility, construction of modern market and good road network, promised to look into all the issues with a view to proffering lasting solutions to them.
The major markets in Akorede/Oluyole LCDA that have their sectional market leaders present at the meeting are Olomi, Muslim, Olurinde, Ayegun, Mosfala, Olode, Sanyo, Olorunkemi, Soka, Onila, Egbeda, Rom-Oil .
Chief Olalere, thanked the Wahab Kazeem – led administration for its support borne out of love for the entire markets in the LCDA and pledged the market Men/Women’s unalloyed support to the government at all time.
