Akinajo Congratulates Makinde On 100 Days In Office, Commend His Consistency

Lawmaker Representing Ibadan North East constituency 1 at the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon. Olamide Akinajo has commended governor Seyi Makinde for his persistent determination and bold steps In repositioning Oyo State within first 100 days.

Hon. Akinajo speaking to journalists in his office on Thursday, he said the beginning of Makinde administration has justified his smooth ending. Said since Makinde inauguration on May 29, 2019, the governor had embarked on series of consultations, Inclusion and innovation of new ideas to revamp and reposition Oyo state.

Speaking on Makinde attitude to corruption, ” Poor governance offers greater incentives and more opportunities for corruption, unlike past administration, governor Makinde had declared war on corruption, his initiated anti graft bill when eventually passed to law will stopped the abuse of public office for private gain. He want to establish Oyo State Financial Crimes Commission to fight kleptomania in government”.

As Akinajo continues, he said, prompt payment of salaries and pensions to both serving and retired teachers in Oyo State are another monumental achievements for the new Oyo state administrator in just 100 days.

“ During the campaign, he promised prompt payment of salaries to Oyo workers, Pensioners and workers are now getting paid every 25th of the month and 23rd if pay day falls on weekend. The total release of monthly salaries by his excellency in funding teachers’ pensions board remains an act that cannot be easily forgotten in the annals of history of this administration in Oyo State,” he added.

“He has bought 100 units of Kia Rio 1.4 Executive Automatic Transmission vehicles for the various security agencies, he will soon distribute in few days time” .

” Moreso, governor Makinde had assisted the parents and guardians of Oyo State indigene Studying in Law School by given their children N500,000 as a bursary, at least this will ease their financial burdens and governor had promised to continue giving such cash to Oyo state students in Law School yearly”. he concluded

Hon. Akinajo also gave kudos to an Engineer turned politician, described him as an epitome of simplicity as he is the first executive governor of oyo state to publicly declared is assets and readiness to waive his immunity if has questions to answer on corruption.
