Residents of the Okegbemi area in Moniya, Akinyele local government have sent aSave Our Soul message to the State Government, the Nigeria police, and all other security agencies to increase security surveillance in the area due to the alleged resurgence of ritual killings in the area.
This followed the arrest of one Lekan Adekunl,e also known as Alfa Pel,e who had allegedly been luring unsuspecting men and ladies to his residence to perpetrate the killings while burying the unused parts into a deep pit and covering them up in the dead of night around his residence.
The Presiden of Okegbemi Community Development Association in the area, Ajayi Babatunde disclosed that Alfa Pele was arrested last week while trying to perpetrate another crime.
He said the supposed ritualist was handed over to the Moniya Police Station and promptly moved to the Iyaganku Area Command of the Nigeria Police.
The State House of Assembly Member representing Akinyele 2 State Constituency, Hon. Olatunde Kehinde, expressed disgust at the dastardly act and promised to ensure that justice is done.
He visited the scene and tasked the people residing in the Okegbemi area and other communities to always remain vigilant about happenings in their area in a bid to prevent crimes.
