Tinubu Takes Action on Orire Abductions

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the immediate deployment of 1,000 forest guards to secure forest reserves in Orire Local Government Area, following the recent abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in the Ogbomoso axis.
The approval came as a high-powered presidential delegation, led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, visited Ogbomoso to assess the security situation.

The delegation also included the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, senior military commanders, and other top security officials.
The visit underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening security and preventing further attacks in the area.
