Oyo State has recorded four new Coronavirus cases, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the State to 59.
Announcing via its official Twitter handle yesterday evening, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) stated that four of the new cases were recorded in Oyo.
Governor Makinde in his Oyo state Covid-19 task force update for May 8th, 2020 also confirmed the four new cases.
He said, COVID-19 confirmation tests for four suspected cases came back positive, therefore, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 59.
According to NCDC, it gave 386 as new cases of COVID19 across the country for Friday, May 8.

As at now, 3912 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nigeria so far, with 679 patients discharged and a record 117 deaths.
