Oyo State Government, through the Surveyor General of Oyo State, Surveyor Alaba Sokore has urged Ogunkanmi Communities in Akinyele Local Government and Iware in Afijio Local Government area of the State to embrace peace.
Surveyor Alaba made this known during a boundary dispute – peace meeting which took place at Akinyele Local Government Conference Room, Ibadan.
He said the present administration in the State under the Leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde would not allow anybody to destroy the peace and tranquility being enjoyed by the people of the State.
The surveyor General enjoined the two communities to embrace peace as the State Government will look into their complaints and provide a lasting solution.
Responding, the Leaders of the two communities Comerade, Akin Adesina and Prince Bamigbade Muyiwa respectively, commended the State Government efforts in the settlement process of boundary dispute in the State, and assured they would give peace a chance to reign.
