The Oyo State Government, through the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun has disclosed that the present administration would continue to support the Women Committee in the Labour Union.
She stated this during a courtesy visit by the Nigeria Labour Congress’ (NLC women wing), Oyo State Council led by comrade Aiyedun Kikelomo, held at the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The Secretary to the State Government advised women to allow their children go to school noting that, the State Government had reduced the number of out of school children by bringing them back to school.
She urged the Women’s Committee in labour to key into Health programmes under the present administration, like Tomo-tiya initiative, Health insurance and other laudable programmes of the State Government.
The SSG encouraged women to always dial 615 code to report any incident like fire outbreak, armed robbery and any form of attack in their environment for Government’s quick intervention.
She enjoined the Labour Union to support the present administration in the State to succeed in all its good programmes for the good people of the Pace Setter State.
In her remark, the Chairperson of the Union Comrade Kikelomo Aiyedun commended the State Government for taking Out-of-School children back to school and workers welfare as a priority in the State.
She then charged the Government to create more opportunities for women to thrive in Oyo State.
